About Grand Stade de Marrakech
Opened in 2011 and located on the northern outskirts of Marrakesh, the stadium is the home ground of Kawkab Marrakech. With its distinctive sand-colored walls and architectural features inspired by towers and minarets, it represents a seamless fusion of Moroccan culture and modern sport. Ahead of AFCON 2025, the stadium underwent significant renovations. The athletics track was removed and the pitch was lowered, bringing the stands closer to the action, creating a more intense atmosphere for both players and fans. These upgrades have transformed the Grand Stade de Marrakech into a world-class football arena, ready to host Africa’s best teams at the highest level.
