The Stade Olympique de Rabat, also known as the Stade Annexe Olympique de Prince Moulay Abdellah, is a modern venue in Rabat originally designed for athletics. For AFCON 2025, this unique stadium (with a capacity of 21,000) will serve as a host venue for football matches, adding a distinctive dimension to the tournament.

About Stade Olympique de Rabat
Built in 2023 as a replacement for the city’s former athletics facilities, the Stade Olympique de Rabat features an eight-lane track and nine sprint lanes. Although primarily an athletics stadium, its central field is perfectly suited for football. Combined with its modern infrastructure and spacious design, it offers an excellent atmosphere for the matches of AFCON 2025.

Botswana, known as “The Zebras”, returns as a underdog to the AFCON stage after their debut in 2012, bringing new hope following a strong qualifying campaign. Led by coach Morena Ramoreboli and with striker Tumisang Orebonye, who boasts experience at the highest African level, they will be looking to spring surprises once again.
