Flying to Agadir

From the Netherlands
Direct flights operate daily from Amsterdam Schiphol to Agadir, with airlines such as Transavia, TUI, and Royal Air Maroc. The flight time is around 4 hours. Seasonal direct flights also depart from Eindhoven and Rotterdam.

From Belgium

From Germany
Direct flights are available from Düsseldorf and Düsseldorf-Weeze, with airlines such as Condor, Eurowings, TUI Fly, and Ryanair. Average flight time is about 4 hours.

From the airport to the city

Agadir-Al Massira Airport is located about 25 kilometer south of the city. Taxis are readily available outside the terminal, with a ride to the city center taking 30–40 minutes depending on traffic. Always agree on the fare with the driver beforehand.

Budget travelers can take a bus from the airport into Agadir, though it is less frequent and slower. Often, you will still need a taxi from the bus stop to your final destination.

App-based taxis like InDrive are increasingly popular, allowing you to book via your phone and propose a fare in advance. This makes the ride faster, transparent, and hassle-free.

Train to Agadir

Agadir currently has no direct train connection. The nearest station is in Marrakesh, from where buses and taxis can take you to Agadir. Plans for a high-speed rail line (LGV) between Marrakesh and Agadir are in development, but it won’t be completed in time for the Africa Cup 2025.

Transport within Agadir

Getting around Agadir is straightforward, with options to suit every budget. The Alsa bus network forms the backbone of public transport, serving both the city and surrounding areas such as Tamri, Aït Baha, and Massa. Affordable and reliable, though sometimes crowded.

The Amalway Trambus (planned for late 2025) will introduce a modern rapid bus service on dedicated lanes, connecting Agadir’s port with the Tikiouine district.

Taxis are a convenient choice:
Grand taxis cover longer distances and run fixed routes to nearby towns and villages. Petit taxis (small orange cars) operate within city limits.
